Field permits, referees, kit, and travel are what it costs to run a rugby club in New York. Our sponsors are why the game stays open to anyone who wants to play.
Village Lions RFC is a 501(c)(3) organization, so sponsorship may be tax deductible.

The club fields six sides across men's and women's+ fifteens and sevens, plus veterans rugby and a youth program starting this fall. Match days bring players, families, and supporters out across the city. A sponsor's name goes where the club goes: to matches across the city, to tournaments beyond it, and to everyone who follows the club online.
The Lions are an inclusive club. Our mission is to promote diversity and advancement in rugby, to challenge stereotypes in sport, and to field competitive teams locally and internationally. Our men's and women's+ fifteens compete in the Empire Geographical Union toward USA Rugby's national playoffs, and the club is a member of International Gay Rugby.
Sponsorship helps keep dues affordable for players and covers what a season costs: coaching, kit and equipment, field permits and travel. Alongside player dues, fundraising and individual donors, it is one of the main ways the club pays its way. We also hold club socials and fundraisers with our sponsors, and where a sponsor has a bar or venue, we can hold them there.
